Just wanted to share an experience and a small warning for everyone here.
Yesterday I matched with a woman on Salams. She was 27, and at first the conversation seemed completely normal. I casually asked what she does for work, and she said she’s a financial analyst and also does crypto on the side.
So I replied normally, saying crypto is a very volatile market, but since she’s good with numbers, maybe it works for her. We continued talking for a bit, and then she suggested moving to WhatsApp and gave me her number.
That’s where things started feeling weird.
Every conversation somehow kept coming back to crypto trading. If I asked about her day, plans, hobbies, anything — somehow it always became about crypto. Today she became very pushy about it. I asked if I could call her, and she said she was with family and busy analyzing the market because it was a “good trading opportunity.” Then she kept insisting that I should join her and trade together.
I politely kept saying no, that crypto isn’t really my thing. But she kept pushing again and again.
Honestly, from the very beginning I already had a red flag in my mind. Who talks this much about crypto in the first few conversations on a marriage app? Eventually it became obvious that this was most likely a scam attempt.
So I just want to say this to everyone here: please stay careful and don’t let loneliness or desperation make you ignore red flags. These scammers know exactly how to manipulate people emotionally before targeting their money.
Alhamdulillah I trusted my instincts and stayed cautious. Just sharing this so others can stay safe and vigilant too. InshaAllah may Allah protect everyone from these kinds of scams.

Islam | Wisdom | Reminders on Instagram: "Compatibility is not the opposite of love — it’s what allows love to survive real life. Kufu was never about perfection, status, or marrying your clone. It was about choosing someone whose values, vision, and way of living can grow with yours through the tests marriage inevitably brings. Have the deeper conversations before the nikah. The right questions now can save years of pain later. 🤍 Hashtags 📌 #IslamicReminders #islamicposts #islam #reminders #muslim"
