The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
If there comes to you one whose religion and character you are pleased with, then marry him.

This teaches us a timeless principle faith and character come before status, beauty, wealth, or social standing. Money can increase or disappear. Beauty fades. Status changes.

But a person with strong faith, good character, honesty, kindness, and the fear of Allah is far more likely to build a peaceful and lasting marriage.

Many marriages fail because people chose wealth over values. Choose someone who will help you get closer to Allah, treat you with respect, and stand by you through life's hardships.

Don't marry the richest person. Marry the one with the strongest deen and the best character. That is where real success and lasting peace are found.

Reference: Jamiʿ al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1084 (also narrated in Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 1967). The hadith was graded Hasan by many scholars.
