Over the last few days I’ve been thinking about marriage, work, disability, and what really matters in life.
As someone with learning difficulties and hearing loss, I’ve sometimes worried whether people would only see what I earn, what job I do, or what I struggle with.
A friend reminded me that life is unpredictable. Jobs change. Health changes. Circumstances change.
Financial stability is important, but so are kindness, patience, understanding, faith, effort, and character.
Right now I’m balancing supply work and school transport while building back towards a long-term role. Some days are busy. Some days are quiet. That doesn’t mean I’m not moving forward.
For anyone with a disability or additional need, don’t lose hope. The right people will look at the whole person, not just one part of your life.
Keep working towards your goals. Keep looking after your health. Keep building your future one step at a time.
Progress is still progress, even if it looks different from everyone else’s.
✨ How beautiful Islam is... ✨
When the world says, "You can't,"
Allah says, "With Me, you Can." 🤍
No matter how difficult the journey becomes, remember that Allah's mercy, power, and guidance are greater than every obstacle. Place your trust in Him, make du'a, and keep moving forward. 🤲🏼✨
"And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for them." — Qur'an 65:3 🤎
