Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
I have been thinking about something for a long time and I would really like to hear different opinions because maybe Im missing something
Im only 19 years old and I know many people will say Im still young but I genuinely want to get married early not because Im rushing life but because I want to protect myself build a peaceful home and share my life with someone who wants the same things
Im not looking for perfection wealth or beauty
Im simply looking for a woman with faith good character and a kind heart someone who wants this life and the next with her husband
Something I keep wondering about is why age differences matter so much
If two people share the same values the same goals the same interests and truly understand each other why does a number become more important than compatibility
I completely respect that some women are not comfortable with an age gap and I also understand that I may simply not be the type of person some women are looking for
At the same time Ive met women around my own age who might have been a good match in this life but not in this life and the next because Im hoping to marry someone whose faith is a priority someone who sincerely tries to follow Islam and encourages me to become a better Muslim every day
One woman really caught my attention because she wore niqab and honestly that was one of the things that attracted me the most
It wasnt about seeing her face it was about what the niqab represented to me modesty dignity and a desire to please Allah
I sent her a respectful message but she saw it and never replied
Before that I also met someone where the age gap was around 17 years and another where it was around 8 years and each time the age difference seemed to become the biggest obstacle
So Im genuinely wondering
Has getting married become this difficult for everyone
Why does something that Islam made a way to protect ourselves and find peace feel so complicated today
Do you think the problem is age expectations culture family opinions or something else entirely
I would truly appreciate hearing your thoughts because maybe someone here has a perspective that could help me see things differently
