I've always wondered 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻. Personally, I don't find men attractive at all. But I guess that's because I'm straight, I can't imagine looking at beautiful women and thinking, "Nah, I'll take the guy instead." No offense, guys, but 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 are genuinely some of the most beautiful, kind, and wonderful creatures on Earth🌎

As some of you are aware, have pointed out, have DM'd or have just plain observed and got a good laugh out of it or have admired my awe inspiring beauty, I've been conducting some research that picqued my interest. To do this, I turned pretty. Today, I reached the 1,000 DM mark and have concluded my research and deleted the entire list which was some heavy lifting. Below are my findings. Looking forward to getting my old face back 🤭

TLDR: most are expected results. Women get WAY more engagement, DMs etc on the app. By a factor of 10x and I would consider myself average looking in this photo. If you're a beautiful woman, that number probably scales higher. The DMs are pretty low effort. Low barrier but very little value for most guys. There's likely hundreds of other men in her inbox. It gave me an appreciation and some further empathy for what some of the ladies encounter if they keep DMs open.

1. Being a woman overwhelmingly outperforms a man on engagement regardless of attractiveness. I used my looksmatched photo to keep it apples to apples. Being a generally attractive woman is a cheat code. I had about 100 or so DMs over 30 days spent here as a guy. I hit the 1000 mark in under 10 days without making too many posts and being explicit about who I was

2. DM Composition skewed outside US. 94 were US based of various ethnicities, 258 were from Nigeria, 159 were from Saudi Arabia, 115 were from Pakistan, 83 from Bangladesh, 78 were from Morocco, 117 from Egypt, 36 from the UK, 51 from Algeria, 5 from Bosnia, 3 from China and 1 from Malaysia.

3. Generally low effort. Hello or Hi more often. There was one person who wrote me a poem which was nice. Another sounded Aladdin. And another was a friend on here who told me they were just testing something and to not respond to the DM

4. Engagement in terms of views go up 5x or more on similar posts

5. People are really territorial about when you change your profile picture 😂. Unintended benefit is that I think I've made more friends in the last 10 days as it's a fun conversation starter.

6. I'm an absolute smokeshow of a woman

It's good to walk a mile in the other person's shoes sometimes. This was good perspective.
