Why do some people like to flex that they're breaking the law and apparently not knowing that if they get caught the consequences candies severe

Now in most countries owning a device that can play hacked games or roms any of itself is not illegal

However it is illegal. And many countries with the United Kingdom in the EU having stricter rules knowingly download or purchase that violates copyright policies

Get some people like to actually brag about them doing that

This one person just shared a picture of them having a rom device and then show them having a game in and the game and it was illegal because the game was rom and I didn't think about it at first when I originally commented when I mentioned when could you get Lucario in Ruby or Sapphire that's when I realized that wasn't in GBA sp it was a rom device fashioned after one and they were playing Pokemon in other words they're pretty much showing that they stole a game that's illegal and is posting it on social media

Then there was another person I saw a while back who did the same thing where he said why do you need a DVD when you can just download the video from a pirate site

I would a lot of people don't realize this and this is confusing to me it's not only are you bragging about violating the law and also technically demonstrating you can't follow . Some of the more basic Islamic policies

But they don't seem to realize the consequences that can come from this could be very damaging to your life

Prison is the worst case scenario that you can face and yes downloading illegally or in being in possession of illegal games or movies or whatever you can go to prison for most people mistakenly think that since the risk is super low it won't happen but that's not true that's happened several times

Then you have the second worst case scenario where people are challenging multi-billion dollar corporations who can easily drag these things out for you and bury you very easily

Not to mention not only are the laws getting stricter on these specific things companies are now developing coalitions to combat people who do these things

For example one of the ways total bands of IP addresses both the independent internet IP address and the independent IP address that's on the device itself

For example if you parked a lot of Netflix shows or go to sites to where you can download a bunch of Netflix shows there is a decent possibility you might find when you decide to actually want Netflix that you won't have access to it good even if you do not currently have a Netflix account if your IP address flagged for pirating their content that makes you where you can never create an account but here's the unfortunate effect you don't have to be the guilty party and it doesn't have to happen on your devices just your internet in other words if you and your family share internet and one of the people pirates and then IP address gets blocked that makes all devices no longer able to utilize Netflix and to prevent people from getting around it they have created a wide variety of different tools . Prevent people from getting around that very easily

However you're more likely to have your IP address banned permanently on all devices then you are to go to jail . Or get a civil lawsuit

But it really depends on the corporation or who you're stealing from

Nintendo for example is notorious for destroying anyone who uses their copy written material do not believe me multiple fan base sites have been shut down by Nintendo even though the sites weren't selling anything or making the content downloadable Nintendo did not care

Disney is similar they once got pissed off at a daycare and an elementary school for using Disney characters without permission and I believe both of those those situations universal studio stepped in if I remember correctly I know they stepped in for the daycare

My thing is why do so many people got to flex this behavior because it makes no sense both morally or islamically
